Research Scientist

Position: Chemistry & Materials Science – AI Trainer

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $30-$100/hr

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated responses related to chemistry, materials science, experimental methods, and scientific research.
• Develop structured training datasets, scientific prompts, experiment scenarios, and clear technical explanations.
• Identify inaccuracies, missing reasoning, or gaps in AI outputs and recommend precise, scientifically sound improvements.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI research teams to refine content guidelines and quality benchmarks.
• Ensure adherence to laboratory safety standards, ethical research practices, and domain best practices across all materials.
• Interpret complex experimental and characterization data and present findings in accurate, accessible formats.
• Provide expert feedback and domain insights to support continuous improvement of AI models.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong expertise in scientific data interpretation, analysis, and technical writing.
• In-depth knowledge of laboratory methodologies, safety protocols, and research ethics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to clarity and detail.
• Ability to critically evaluate scientific content and translate complex concepts for varied audiences.
• High commitment to scientific accuracy, rigor, and continuous learning.
