Role Description:

Cazcanes Tequila is seeking a dynamic and innovative Director of Sales and Business Development. This is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading sales operations, managing distributor relationships, overseeing sales teams, and driving business growth. You will play a pivotal role in executing the company’s sales strategy, developing our brand both on- and off-premise in the US and internationally. You’ll also be responsible for talent development, program management, and ensuring the brand’s high-end image is consistently executed across markets.

Key Responsibilities:Distributor Management:

• Collaborate with Distributor Business Managers to grow the Cazcanes brand in each market.

• Lead planning, pricing, and negotiations with distributors, maintaining their focus on key channels and KPIs.

• Oversee the distributor programming calendar and conduct quarterly/annual reviews.

• Ensure distributors are well-educated on Cazcanes’ brand, history, and product offerings.

Sales and Commercial Planning:

• Develop and execute annual and long-term sales plans for Cazcanes in the US and internationally.

• Communicate sales strategies to distributors and ensure alignment and execution.

• Improve brand execution and image through merchandising programs, proper distribution, promotions, and more.

• Stay ahead of industry trends, competitors, and consumer behaviors to drive growth and brand awareness.

Talent Selection & Development:

• Build and lead a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment on goals, KPIs, and strategy.

• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide ongoing coaching, and foster a culture of innovation.

• Ensure team members are equipped with the tools and knowledge to succeed in their roles.

Analysis & Execution:

• Oversee Cazcanes’ sales budget, ensuring accountability and ROI analysis for key events and initiatives.

• Monitor and track salesforce activities, ensuring timely and effective use of sales tools and POS tracking.

• Prepare and review administrative and budget reports to ensure compliance and performance goals are met.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in sales/marketing, preferably in the spirits or beverage industry.

• Proven experience in distributor and account management with a strong track record of success.

• Experience in leading and developing sales teams with a focus on premium brands.

• Strong strategic planning, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• In-depth knowledge of spirits industry trends, key accounts, pricing, and sales tactics.

• Ability to analyze ROI, track performance, and manage budgets effectively.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field required.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be willing to travel up to 10 days per month.

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle required for travel.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Knowledge of alcohol industry laws and regulations (DISCUS, NABCA) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time remote role.

• Standard work week, with flexibility for events on evenings and weekends as needed.

• Compliance with company safety regulations is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range: $160,000 - $180,000 + bonus based on KPIs. Pay is based on experience, education, and location. Cazcanes offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability benefits, PTO, and a 401(k) plan.
