About The Role
The Lead HR Generalist for the Americas region is a strategic and operational HR leadership role responsible for delivering high-quality, compliant HR services across the region. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape and develop the HR function within a dynamic, fast-growing organization that values innovation and diversity. The successful candidate will serve as a key partner to regional leadership, providing expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organizational design. They will collaborate closely with the global HR team to implement initiatives that promote a high-performance culture, foster diversity, equity, and inclusion, and support the company's overall business objectives. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong project management skills and the ability to interpret data trends for strategic decision-making. As a remote role based in the Americas, the Lead HR Generalist will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across multiple countries, including understanding local labor laws and cultural nuances.
Qualifications
- Exceptional academic record from high school and university
- Proven HR experience leading initiatives across regions within a technology organization
- Regional HR experience within Latin America, particularly Brazil and/or Mexico, is a plus
- Deep understanding of local labor laws, employment practices, and market insights
- Experience in business partnering with senior stakeholders
- Hands-on involvement in daily HR operations and strategic projects
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop HR team members
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering results on time
- Experience working in a remote-first organizational environment
- Ability to leverage data analytics to inform HR decisions
- Fluent in business English, both written and spoken
- Self-motivated, organized, accurate, confident, and results-oriented
- Willingness to travel up to four times per year for internal events
Responsibilities
- Ensure precise, compliant, and timely delivery of HR operations across the Americas region
- Collaborate with the Americas HR Manager and the Global Head of HR to develop impactful HR strategies
- Manage HR processes including talent development, succession planning, performance reviews, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives
- Partner with managers to optimize performance management, organizational design, rewards, and workforce planning
- Work with the HRIS team to improve operational processes for HR administration
- Coach and advise managers on employee relations issues across multiple countries, ensuring legal compliance and best practices
- Support the delivery of training and development programs tailored to regional needs
- Establish and maintain trusted partnerships with regional business leaders
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace culture
- Design and implement new HR policies aligned with business needs and legal requirements
- Lead and support global HR projects, ensuring successful execution and adoption
