Position: Product ManagerCompany

Ategrity Specialty Insurance Company is an innovative excess and surplus insurance company headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. We provide unique solutions for our producers and policyholders powered by experienced industry leaders from the insurance and technology sectors.

Function: Guide the development and evolution of insurance products from concept to market launch and beyond. Act as a strategic partner across functional areas, gather customer feedback, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver product features, ensuring alignment with business strategy and profitability goals.

Role: Join us as a remote Product Manager, leading agile initiatives and collaborating with diverse teams to ensure timely project delivery. Transform insurance operations and products through innovative technology solutions and operational excellence. You will report to the Head of the Project Management Office (PMO).

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Experience in project management with leadership skills and the ability to manage competing priorities**.**
  • Requirements Gathering: Understand business needs and develop detailed requirements and user stories including UX designs. 
  • Documentation: Create specifications, business processes, wireframes, and functional designs.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Facilitate communication between different functional areas, Leadership, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Process Analysis: Document business workflows and assess the impact of new processes.
  • Project Support: Develop test plans, assist with quality assurance, report on resource allocation, and track issues and risks.
  • Communication: Present requirements and project updates to stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and negotiate compromises.
  • Change Management: Manage change requests and facilitate training sessions for new enhancements and product features.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Analytical Skills: Evaluate information from multiple sources and decompose high-level information into detailed requirements.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and facilitate stakeholder sessions and Agile ceremonies.
  • Technical Understanding: Knowledge of business analysis and project management principles, with experience in Agile project lifecycles.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong abilities to proactively identify challenges, develop solutions, and drive consensus on user stories and features among different stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Microsoft Visio, MS Project, and Microsoft Teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Industry Knowledge: 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry and familiarity with commercial and specialty insurance products.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a project or product management role with a clear understanding of Agile ceremonies and planning of user stories. 
  • Certifications: PMP or Product Owner/Manager certification is a plus.
  • Tools: Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Azure Board, MS Planner, MS Project, or similar tools. Experience in Underwriting or Insurance Policy/Claims/Finance Administration systems.
